Scorpio is a sign associated with survival, death and rebirth. It is about powerful and deeply held convictions. An emotional water sign, much is held in the depths of Scorpio and not evident at first inspection.
Mars and Pluto are co-rulers of Scorpio and they are involved in a tight square aspect now. Mars in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn suggest that internal pressure is building and it needs to be released. Different objectives and priorities may cause conflict. Square aspects challenge us often privately and internally. It can be hard to find a way to balance matters of equal importance. This is a volatile time and tense New Moon. Try to make time for relaxation and release tension through exercise or a deep tissue massage.
Venus will vanish from our morning skies on November 28 when she is at 26 Scorpio, the same degree as this New Moon, transforming herself from a morning star into an evening star. Like Scorpio itself, this process is one that is also associated with death and rebirth, so letting go of something that no longer serves us is very much part of this Scorpio New Moon.
In December and into next year as Venus passes around the back of the Sun, she asks us to leave behind some of our personal desires and instead focus on other people, on family, society, community and the spiritual. These factors will take more of our attention in 2018 when Venus re-emerges and takes up her place in the evening sky. The next couple of months is a time of profound change when issues of long standing can be effectively processed and released. This will clear the path forward so we can engage in a new agenda and different priorities in 2018. This of course is not always an easy process.
The semi-sextile this New Moon makes to Saturn in Sagittarius suggests that to make progress we may have to step out of our comfort zone and face our fears, especially fears of the unknown.
This New Moon is all about taking the next step in our personal journey. It is time to clear out the closet, recycle old emotional baggage and set ourselves free. This will enable us to make some big strides towards long term goals with next month’s ingress of Saturn into Capricorn, which is a pivotal time for making new commitments and setting fresh goals.
